TableAway
Privacy Policy.

TableAway is published by ARnocular Ltd, Canada. For privacy questions or deletion requests, email arnocular.ltd@gmail.com.

1. What this policy covers

This policy covers TableAway’s free, photo-only release, version 1.0.0-rc.1 (version code 9), and support provided by ARnocular Ltd. This release includes Secluded Beach, Alps Field and Monbachtal Riverbank. It has no app account creation, subscription, purchases, advertising, video streaming or remotely downloaded photo library. Photographs and spoken setup guidance are bundled for offline use.

Earlier private beta builds may contain experimental features outside this release. We will update this policy before introducing features that change the data practices described here.

2. Information used on your headset

To place and control the experience, TableAway processes headset position and orientation, hand-tracking information for pointing, pinching and tapping, room/scene information to identify a tabletop, spatial anchors to position it, and passthrough/environment depth to show your real table, hands and nearby objects. These are used locally on your headset to render the experience and respond to your actions.

ARnocular does not receive your room images, hand-tracking data, depth information or spatial-anchor data from this release. It does not upload analytics, record your voice, capture handwriting or record passthrough video. The release does not request Android internet, camera-recording or microphone-recording permission. Passthrough and depth are headset features used for local display, not an ARnocular camera recording service.

3. Local storage and your controls

The app stores a table-anchor identifier, placement dimensions and rendering preferences locally on your headset. Table anchors can be persisted through Meta’s local spatial-anchor service. The packaged scenery and narration are app content, not your uploaded photographs or voice.

Reset starts setup again; it is not an erase-all-data button. Confirming a replacement table updates the app’s local record, but does not guarantee deletion of every earlier platform-managed anchor.

To remove ordinary app files and preferences, uninstall TableAway using the headset’s app management controls. Manage room/space information, permissions and platform-managed spatial data through Meta’s headset settings. Available controls depend on your headset software. Email us if you need help finding the relevant controls; we cannot remotely erase headset-local data that ARnocular does not hold.

4. Support, feedback and beta participation

If you email us or voluntarily provide feedback, we receive the email address, message and any attachments or device/app details you choose to share. We use this information to respond, troubleshoot and manage your request. Please do not send sensitive information or private room images unless needed and you intend to share them.

Support messages and feedback are kept while resolving the request and deleted within 12 months after closure. You can request earlier deletion. Where a legal recordkeeping obligation requires retention, we retain only the necessary information for that obligation.

Email is processed through our email service provider. If you use Meta’s beta access or feedback features, Meta may provide participation or feedback information to the developer under its terms. Information ARnocular receives is used to manage access or support your request and follows the retention and deletion process above. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

5. Access and deletion requests

Email arnocular.ltd@gmail.com with the subject “TableAway data deletion request” to request deletion of support, feedback or beta information held by ARnocular. Use the address you contacted us from, or describe the information so we can locate it. We may ask for proportionate verification to avoid disclosing or deleting someone else’s information. You can also ask to access or correct information we hold about you.

We will respond and handle your request under applicable law. If we must retain information for a legal obligation, we will explain the reason where permitted. Requests concerning information held independently by Meta should also be directed to Meta through its privacy controls.

6. Meta and other service providers

Your Meta account, headset operating system, platform diagnostics, app distribution, permissions and casting/recording features are operated by Meta under Meta’s Privacy Policy and your platform settings. This policy does not replace Meta’s disclosures or claim that Meta collects no information. ARnocular does not control recordings or casts that you choose to make through platform features.

Our public website is hosted by Netlify. Visiting it sends normal web-request information, such as your IP address and browser/request details, to the hosting provider for delivery and security. The website adds no analytics or advertising trackers. See Netlify’s Privacy Statement. Email, hosting and platform providers may process information outside Canada under their own service arrangements.

7. Audience

TableAway is intended for teens and adults aged 13 or above, subject to applicable regional age and Meta account requirements. It is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to ARnocular, contact us so we can address and delete it as appropriate.

8. Updates and contact

We will publish any changes at this address with a revised effective date. Changes to subscriptions, remote content, analytics or video features will require an updated notice before release.
